Rebecca & Mike's Engagement Session at George Eastman House, Highland Park and Java's
It was a chilly, snowy December day, perfect for a cozy and romantic engagement session. The setting was the historic George Eastman House, a venue I had frequented many times before. Yet, this was the first time I had the chance to photograph a couple here in the winter, and the transformation was nothing short of magical. The pristine snow added a layer of charm to the already enchanting place, making everything look like a still from a winter fairy tale. I couldn't help but fall in love with every detail.
We then moved to Highland Park, where the sprawling evergreens provided the perfect backdrop for capturing the golden hour lighting. A sense of tranquility seemed to descend as the day began to move towards evening, and the park, bathed in the mellow, golden glow, looked spectacular. Rebecca and Mike, the lovely couple, were now at ease, their initial camera shyness replaced by a relaxed demeanor. This made capturing their love story even more beautiful. Their smiles, their glances at each other, their playful banter – all made for some extraordinarily natural and delightful photographs.
Our day ended at the lively Java on Gibbs St, where we sought solace from the winter chill. The atmosphere was relaxed and fun, allowing us to be playful and goofy while we thawed out. The warmth of the coffee shop was a stark contrast to the cold outside, and it was just the perfect setting for some candid shots of Rebecca and Mike, embodying their vibrant personalities and their love for each other.
To sum it up, it was an unforgettable day filled with laughter, love and beautiful locations. From the snow-covered George Eastman House to the golden-lit Highland Park and the warm Java on Gibbs St – each location lent a unique charm to Rebecca and Mike's engagement photos, making them a memory they would cherish forever.
